Encore Hotels Pvt Ltd (EHPL) has recently acquired a three year contract with Fortis Hospital, Mumbai. Investment in the venture is to the tune of Rs 15 to 20 lakh. This step is part of the group's plans to expand in the institutional catering segment.The present contract is
subject to renewal. "To begin with, we will only operate within the Mumbai network of Fortis Hospitals. However, we are also looking at extending the association to Fortis' other hospitals across India," says Kamlesh Barot, Director, Encore Hotels Pvt Ltd. Catering operations at the Fortis hospital will begin by early April 2008.
