NEWS| Hotels bar non-residents' cars

Following the attack in a Mumbai five-star hotel and the following terror threats, prominent star hotels in the Capital have stepped up
security and are reportedly not allowing parking for vehicles of non-residents in their premises. As a result, the cars are being parked on main roads. The traffic police, on Monday, directed all five-star hotels to check such unauthorised parking.

As security has been intensified and hotels have deployed private guards to carry out intensive checks in vehicles, the cops got reports that they were being selective about the vehicles being parked inside their boundary walls. "There were reports that only cars of those staying at the hotels, along with some selected regular guests are being allowed to park inside. The rest, which are being turned away, are parked on the main road outside, leading to jams in some places,'' said an official.
