Annie Féolde is best known throughout Italy, and some parts of Japan, for her inventive yet down-to-earth cuisine.
Though born in France, she is known for being the first lady in Italy to be awarded three-Michelin-star. Féolde is a self-taught cook who initially played a more supportive role at her husband’s bar in Tuscany where she created a menu of small bites to accompany the beverages served. However, emphasis was gradually placed on her cooking, and Féolde soon found herself preparing an entire menu.
This, coupled with her husband’s extensive menu of 150,000 beverages from Italy, Spain and California, earned Annie, and her husband, a reputation for pairing the best Italian cuisine together with the most excellent beverages.
