Gloria Jean's Coffees International, an Australia─based specialty coffee retailer, plans to invest Rs 100 Crore in India over 10 years. The company aims to open 250 coffee outlets in the country.

The company will open 20 outlets in the next financial year (2009─10) in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad. It will invest Rs 40 Lakh per outlet, which will be a mixture of mall stores and standalone stores. Presently, the Australian company is operating in India through a partnership with master franchisee, City Max India (part of the Dubai─based retailer Landmark Group), with five coffee outlets; three are in Bengaluru and two are in Mumbai.
