> Direct business development role within the American region. This includes selecting and contracting with luxury and character hotels in major travel destinations.
> Maintain a very current pipeline of opportunities across America
> Develop a business intelligence function to constantly monitor competitive activity
> Hire, train, lead, motivate, inspire and direct the Business Development team in the region
> Assume full responsibility of the regional P&L
> Direct reporting to Global Hotel Business Director
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
> Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management / Marketing /Business Administration or related disciplines
> At least 4 years relevant experience in hospitality/travel industries with minimum of 2 years hotel contracting and/or sales experience, gained whilst working in travel operations or the web-based accommodation / travel sector
> Sound knowledge of hotel pricing, online distribution & yield management a plus
> Outstanding presentation & communication skills
> Experience in leading and managing teams across different countries, in different languages
> English & Spanish mandatory and international work experience a definite advantage
> Self-motivated, outgoing, customer & sales-oriented
> Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously within deadline
> Strong problem-solving skills, and a ‘can-do’ attitude
> International work experience a definite advantage
> Self-motivated, outgoing and customer & sales-oriented
> Mobility to travel 25% within the region
