Centara Hotels and Resorts to open fourth hotel in Phuket

Thailand-based Centara Hotels & Resorts is to expand its portfolio of hotels in Phuket with the opening of the Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket in October 2010. Designed in a colonial style with Sino-Portuguese architecture, the five-star resort will be Centara's fourth property in Phuket.

According to a report in asiatraveltips.com, accommodation will consist of 262 guestrooms and villas, with 108 Deluxe rooms, 81 Deluxe Spa rooms, 45 Pool Premium rooms, 18 Pool Suites, six One-Bed Pool Villas and four Two-Bed Pool Villas. All guestrooms will have a balcony with sea view and Deluxe Spa rooms have a Jacuzzi on the balcony. Leisure facilities include a tennis court, a fitness centre with 144 sq mt of space and a SPA Cenvaree. Children's facilities will include two playrooms.


Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket will be fully equipped for meetings. The Phuket Grand Ballroom will have a capacity to accommodate 820 persons, with 576 sq mt of space that is divisible into two equal parts. There will be a pre-function area of 240 sq mt as well as two breakout rooms that can accommodate 50 persons each, seated classroom style.
