According to a PTI report, Delhi government has granted licenses to nine malls allowing them to sell alcohol. A K Walia, Finance Minister, Delhi
who also looks after the excise department, said a total of 14 malls had applied for license to sell liquor and out of them nine were selected.
He said the malls given licenses will have to have a minimum of 1,000 sq ft area to store and sell liquor. "Nine malls have been given licenses to sell liquor. Some of the malls will start selling liquor from June 20," Walia said.
