The hotel, built along a very old canal that is to become a UNESCO World Heritage site, is conveniently situated in central Wuxi. With a population of 4.6 million, Wuxi is the center of China's Jiangnan region waterways and the site of 3,000 years of cultural heritage. It is sometimes called "Little Shanghai," due to its proximity to Shanghai, fast urbanization and booming economy.
Hotel Nikko Wuxi offers 499 spacious guest rooms with amenities including a large LCD-TV with satellite channels (including CNN) and broadband. The hotel's dining facilities include Café Serena, which serves an international breakfast buffet; Benkay Japanese restaurant on the top (22nd) floor, with breathtaking views; and Chinese restaurant Toh-Lee, which offers six private rooms. The 6,400-square-foot ballroom, the city's largest, holds 320 guests, banquet-style. With seven additional meeting spaces, the hotel accommodates all types of meetings and functions. Other facilities include an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, massage room and beauty salon.
