Hotel management company, Sarovar Hotels & Resorts, has announced the opening of its economy brand Hometel in New Delhi. Iris Hometel, the 90-room hotel, is the Group's first Hometel, which is located in Harinagar. It is the Group's 47th hotel and fifth Hometel in India.
The first Hometel was launched in Bengaluru in 2006, followed by Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chandigarh. By 2011, Sarovar Hotels & Resorts plans to launch four more Hometel across India, in Pune, Chennai, Roorkee and Guwahati with a consolidated inventory of over 400 rooms.
According to the company release, the rooms at Iris Hometel offer functional designs with essentials such as a tea/coffee maker, mini bar, electronic safe, LCD television and Wi-Fi access. Dining options at the hotel include Flavours, the multi-cuisine restaurant and Chill, the lounge bar. Other facilities include gymnasium, laundry service and business centre facilities. The hotel will offer conferencing space in the second phase of launch.
