The introduction of the toll free number will make it easy for travellers in India to book their stays at any of the Westin hotels and resorts within the country (Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Sohna and soon Gurgaon) or at any of the over 170 Westin hotels and resorts in 31 countries globally. In conjunction with the launch of the toll free number, Westin Hotels and Resorts have also introduced a 'click-to-call' feature on their website that will seamlessly link customers with hotel representatives via phone.
According to the company release, Don Elliot, Regional Vice President, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, India, Bangladesh and the Maldives said, "We are excited to see the launch of the dedicated toll free number in India for Westin Hotels and Resorts. The toll free number could not have been introduced at a better point in time as India's domestic and outbound travel increases with the rise of its middle class and with an increasing affinity for global brands. These features will also help to propel Starwood Hotels and Resorts along its predicted growth path of 60 per cent by 2013 within India."
The dedicated toll free line in India will create a new ease for residents to reach any Westin property worldwide by eliminating the cost barrier that accompanies long distance, out of country calls.
