Accor ME has recently appointed two new Mercure GMs in Qatar and KSA: Thierry Szewc as the General Manager of Grand Hotel Mercure Doha (175 rooms) and Christian Hamoui as the General Manager of Mercure Umm Al Qura in Makkah (307 rooms and suites).
Thierry Szewc, a 50-year old French national, will drive the growth of Grand Hotel Mercure Doha. He was General Manager of the recently opened ibis Amman in Jordan and has been with the Accor Group for 35 years.
Christian Hamoui, a 59-year old French national, will manage Mercure Umm Al Qura. He was General Manager at Mercure Al Khobar where he has managed the grand opening of the hotel, and was the General Manager of Mercure Value, Riyadh. Christian has 11 years experience with Pullman International Hotels, in the Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Congo, Martinique and Guadeloupe.
Thierry and Christian, both experienced hotel professionals, will lead the Mercure brands growth in Qatar and KSA.
