Gaurav Jadhav of JW Marriott Mumbai has bagged the title of Champion Bartender at the recently held 'All India Bartending Competition' by Indspirit 2010. The 'All India Bartending Competition' had a round of selections in cities like Goa, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai, the winners of which competed in the finals held in Mumbai. The finalists had the option to conjure up cocktails with Sauza Tequila, Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey, Teacher's Scotch Whiskey or Magic Moment Vodka as base spirit and prepare either a classic cocktail or a contemporary cocktail.

According to a press release, Jadhav made a blend of Sauza Tequila, muddled with fresh berries and a traditional drink called Sangrita (made with fresh orange juice, tomato juice, grenadine and tabasco served in a short glass with salt rim). Jadhav began his career with a renowned bartending institute and continued freelancing for events through the institute. As the winner of the championship, Jadhav received all expenses paid for three─night and four─day trip to the Whyte & Mackay Distillery in Scotland.
