The second edition of India Bakery & Pastry Challenge 2010 that concluded recently at the World Trade Centre in Mumbai saw Trident, Bandra Kurla, Mumbai win gold medals in both the categories that the hotel participated in: 'Chocolate Showpiece' & 'Petite Four'.
According to a press release, the prime objective of the competition was to establish a professional platform where some of the industry's most senior and internationally renowned bakery and pastry professionals displayed their individual and combined skills.
Vikas Bagul, Executive Pastry Chef, Trident, Bandra Kurla, Mumbai, won the gold medal for the category 'Chocolate Showpiece'. He will now represent India at the Asian Pastry Cup 2012 in Singapore. Namit Somaya, Chef de Partie, Trident, Bandra Kurla, Mumbai won the gold in the 'Petite Fours' category.
