Accor to create 3000 jobs in India

In order to fill the vacancies that will arise due to opening of new hotel in the country, Global hospitality firm Accor has already planned to hire 3,000 people from India.

Presently Accor employs around 2000 people through 8 hotels that fell under brands like Novotel, Ibis and Mercure and two convention centres.

"By the end of 2011, we will employ total 5,000 people at Accor operated properties across India," Accor Hotels India, Regional Director of Human Resources Ashwin A Shirali told PTI.

The company is planning to provide 30% jobs at the entry level.

Earlier Accor announced its plan to open around 90 hotels by 2015 from the total 90, contracts for 60 is already signed by the company. Out of which 21 hotels are expected to start operating by 2012 end.

Presently accor has partnership with InterGlobe Enterprises,and Is planning to pull global hotel brands (such as sofitel, Pullman and Formule1) by 2011 to India.

A investment fund for building hotels in India has been created by Accor and Interglobe in realtion with Pacifica partners. The fund will be distributed as 36% to Pacifica partners, and the rest will be distributed equally among the Accor and the Interglobe.
