Pretty neat!
I think the idea of taking 360 degree shots, adding google maps and google street view live feeds is simply awesome.
But here is where the 'why travel' ends for me.
I think sites like these will encourage travel.
People will find more and more interesting things, sights that cater to their particular taste and will end up visiting the site in person to complete the experience.
This will also let people check out live, what is it that they may be heading to.
Why is this relevant for hospitality?
I am betting here that within this year you will have hotel lobbies, discs and even restaurants putting up their live feeds on the net.
One would be able to check out clubs to see how 'hot' the action is and where the action is as opposed to walking in and then walking out.
360 degree videos of hotels already exist, but everyone now knows those are "done up" for a shoot. Guests will now demand to see what it is right this very moment, and that will be the deal clincher.
Consider this on the same lines of 'Glass Kitchens'
Once upon a time those were revolutionary too. Now you eat at a chef's table in the kitchen!
