Restaurateur Farhan Azmi has opened a unique boutique brew house, Chai Coffi, in Versova, Mumbai. According to a press release, at Chai Coffi, with an array of caffeine inducers ranging from the subtle Darjeeling tea to the fully loaded double shot expresso, guests can indulge in Irani bun maska, nan─khatai, besides Indian dal─ kichdi.
Apart from it, whole wheat khari, kheema and Arabic hummus are also available. Chai Coffi also serves lot of coffee options along with food items like pizzas and sandwiches so as to add a western mix to the place.
Partner to the whole concept is Farhan Azmi's wife─Ayesha Takia Azmi. The duo believes that since India is predominantly tea lovers, an attempt to re─store the flavours of tea and Indian accompaniments should be made. That's how Chai Coffi was conceptualised. Chai Coffi will open up two franchise outlets in Mumbai in a couple of months and aims to take the brand national with around 10 outlets in next one year.
