René Camilleri is the Director of Global Sales for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East. René is responsible for promoting over 1000 hotels spanning over 100 countries and territories across 4 divisions and 9 brands within the Middle East, Greece and Turkey.
René Camilleri started his career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts back in 2005, where he held ascendant positions in the Sales and Marketing department within the Malta sales Complex including Director of Leisure Sales and subsequently Director of Sales and Marketing at Le Méridien Phoenicia and Le Méridien St.Julians.
In 2008, Camilleri moved to Croatia to open the new Le Méridien Lav, Split and thereon in 2009 to Abu Dhabi to launch the new Aloft Abu Dhabi, the first Aloft in Starwood's EAME division. Today Camilleri is a highly seasoned and qualified Sales & Marketing professional with over 18 years of relevant experience in the field.
Camilleri is of Maltese nationality and holds an Accountancy Degree from the University of Malta.
