Sarovar bullish on domestic market, to add 30 properties

Hotel management company, Sarovar Hotels and Resorts, which has properties across the country and one property each at Dar-es-Salam and Nairobi, is planning to add 30 properties to its network of managed hotels within the next few years.

"We are bullish about the domestic market, and hope to have a 75-property network of hotels by 2012-13", Sarovar Hotels and Resorts managing director Anil Madhok told ET.

Sarovar presently has 54 properties under its brand, including two owned properties, and 30 projects are in the pipeline. The company manages and franchises hotels and resorts under the Premiere, Portico, Hometel, Park Plaza and Park Inn brands, covering 3-star to 5-star properties. The Park Plaza and Park Inn brands in India are operated under a franchise agreement with Carlson Hotels .
