Best Western India, part of the US─based Best Western chain of hotels is seeking to build its manpower inventory by setting up four hospitality management institutes in India over the next three years. According to a report in www.mydigitalfc.com, the hotel management company, which is aiming at having 100 hotels across the country by 2017, from the current count of 30, has already tied up with a hotel management institute in Bhubaneswar to launch Best Western Centre for Hotel Management.
“We have recently launched our training centre in collaboration with Ranjita Institute of Hotel Management and Catering. We are planning to set up at least four such centres over the next three years, especially in Tier─II cities,” Sudhir Sinha, President and CEO, Best Western India.
For establishing its hotels, Sinha said the company would actively be scouring for sites in cities such as Vijayawada, Coimbatore, Chakan and Baddi, apart from having a presence in the four main metros of Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. All its hotels and hospitality institutes will be either under franchisees and partnerships, respectively, Sinha said.
