The budget brand of Accor, 'Etap Hotel' will debut in India by November this year. Etap Hotel is a limited service hotel brand and claims to be a leader in the European budget hotel segment.
It has more than 400 hotels across 10 countries worldwide. Accor has identified eight to 10 cities to introduce this brand in India. The first two properties will open in Pune and Greater Noida by November 2011.
According to sources at Accor Asia Pacific office in Singapore, Etap Hotel, located at Hinjewadi in Pune, will have 101 rooms whereas Etap Greater Noida will have 135 rooms. A top official from Accor on condition of anonymity said that globally, the room tariff for Etap Hotel is around 60 per cent of what is being charged by ibis and cost per key is Rs 15─16 lakh. Targeted to business travellers, Etap Hotel will come up in metro cities.
