March 21, 2011 commemorates 50 years for the world's leading luxury brand, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. The team at Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver is celebrating this golden year with a 50th cocktail and bite-sized treats in YEW restaurant + bar.
What a better way to celebrate 50 years of service than with the most important sense – taste. On March 21 when guests dine for lunch or dinner in YEW they will be presented with a decadent chocolate birthday cupcake. This "blackout" cupcake oozes with chocolate fudge topping and glitters with golden flakes and is decorated and baked with love by Pastry Chef Bruno Feldeisen.
In YEW bar, Justin Taylor mixes it up in a mountain of flavours with the "Issy Gold" cocktail. To honour Founder and Chairman Isadore Sharp, responsible for bringing Four Seasons to the mountains, YEW bar brings the mountains to a glass. The Issy Gold arrives rimmed with golden flakes and a mountain of crushed ice. This cocktail features an interesting combination of green chartreuse and St-Germain elderflower liqueur. The final touch is YEW's signature mango ravioli, which bursts with flavour and adds a lava-like appeal to the cocktail. This will be available for all of 2011.
