A tsunami warning remains in effect for the Hawaiian Islands. Surges in tide of several feet began at approximately 3 a.m. Hawaiian Time and two hours later were continuing to occur. We are closely monitoring the situation.
The tsunami warning also is still in effect for the coastal areas of Alaska, British Columbia, California and Oregon. The tsunami is anticipated to reach the West Coast at approximately 8 a.m. Pacific Time.
