Dolce Hotels and Resorts will soon unveil a new concept for urban markets that it describes as a hybrid between a city center lifestyle hotel and a conference property. The new model is slated to debut late next year with a 157-key property in downtown Indianapolis.
The concept is targeted at individual business and leisure travelers, as well as groups, and is intended to be a “compelling, sophisticated social gathering point” for people who live and work in the downtown area. “We plan to create the kind of warm, welcoming feeling that individual and group travelers appreciate when they arrive in a city,” says Dolce President and CEO Steve Rudnitsky. “We want people who live and work in Indianapolis to feel comfortable walking in and spending time in our stylish lounges and restaurants. We want this hotel to become their favorite place.”
The hotel’s second floor will feature 16 meeting rooms, comprising 15,000 sq. ft. of function space, all certified by International Association of Conference Centers. The hotel's conference center is expected to include a significant investment in top-of-the-line audio-visual technology, including a Cisco TelePresence facility.
Dining facilities will include a full-service restaurant, an American-style brasserie and 1,200-sq.-ft. lounge with a view of the downtown skyline. The hotel’s fitness center is expected to be complemented by access to a nearby, state-of-the-art, 75,000-sq.-ft. YMCA. A centerpiece public plaza is contemplated as part of the overall project.
