Only 5-Star Resort In Moorea Or Tahiti; Also Joins Sister Hotel Hilton Bora Bora Nui In Category
Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa has joined the ranks of its sister hotel, Hilton Bora Bora Nui, as one of only six hotels in French Polynesia to be awarded a five star rating by the French Polynesian Ministry of Tourism. In addition to being the only resort on the islands of Moorea or Tahiti to receive such an honor, this award makes the Hilton French Polynesia the only hotel company in French Polynesia with two properties in the five-star category.
The French Polynesia Ministry of Tourism bases their ranking system on several key elements such as the quality of the product and the service standards but also the hotel’s suites, the food and beverage outlets on the property, the size of the units and the resort facilities.
“We are very honored,” explains Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa General Manager Olivier Larcher. “It is a great feeling for all of the staff, who dedicate themselves to making sure guests have an unforgettable experience at our hotel, to be recognized for their hard work.”
As of March 2010, Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa unveiled its two new garden pool suites, which were built during the resort’s recent $11 million renovation. At 1,712 square feet, these lavish suites come with their very own private pool, exotic outdoor garden, butler service upon request and all of the amenities one would expect at a five star resort, including an IPOD docking station and LCD TV. During the extensive renovation, each of the 104 guest rooms in the resort – which was named “The Most Romantic in the World” in Trip Advisor’s 2010 Survey – was redone with a modern tropical flair.
