Azerbaijan is located partially in Western Asia and partially in Eastern Europe. Bounded by the Caspian Sea to the East, Iran to the South, Armenia to the West and Russia to the North.
· Baku is the capital, the largest city and largest port in Azerbaijan
· Baku’s urban population at the beginning of 2009 was just over 2 million people
· Main language spoken is Azeri. However, Russian and Turkish is also spoken by some.
· Many Azerbaijan institutions have their headquarters in Baku.
· Baku has a sub tropical climatewith hot and dry summers and reasonably cold winters.
· Two thirds of Azerbaijan is rich in oil and natural gas.
· Popular tourist attractions and several shopping malls including high end boutique stores.
· The city has a wide range of cultural activities, such as museums, historical artefacts and art.
· Baku boasts a vibrant nightlife. Restaurants range from being luxurious and expensive to ordinary and affordable. Clubs offer an Eastern flavor and offer local music and western style too.
Requirements
We will have a number of openings in our culinary team and welcome applications from experienced culinary professionals. In view of immigration restrictions, work visas will only be available for management positions. Azeri, Russian or Turkish language skills preferable, however, not essential.
