Italian restaurant chain Prezzo has announced plans to open at least 20 new eateries in 2011 after reporting "steady trading and strong new openings" in the 53 weeks to 2 January.
Compared with figures for 2009, the group reported a 15 per cent increase in revenue and a 12 per cent growth in pre-tax profit. It currently operates 160 properties across the UK.
Prezzo said that part of its growth had been fuelled from its first acquisition - 11 properties purchased from Caffe Uno Brasseries in August for £3.1m.
