PEOPLE | Ex-Morgans branding chief Miller to lead Marriott’s Edition Hotels

Marriott International Inc. has named Tim Miller senior vice president and managing director for Edition Hotels, the company’s nascent luxury lifestyle hotel brand.


Miller has served as a consultant for the Edition brand and other lifestyle brands, including Carnival Cruises and the Balducci’s chain of upscale grocers. Previously, he was CEO of fitness brand Crunch. He has prior hotel industry experience, having been chief branding officer and a general manager for Morgans Hotel Group, as well as president of Alden Hotels.

Miller will set Edition’s brand strategy, oversee operations and work with Marriott’s development team to expand the brand, which currently has hotels open in Honolulu and Istanbul. Five projects are under development in major gateway cities worldwide, including London and Miami.

“Tim is a highly experienced executive who has created and redeveloped some of the most iconic brands in the luxury lifestyle arena, ranging from trend-setting hotels to cutting-edge fitness facilities worldwide,” says Ken Rehmann, global officer of brand management, marketing and e-commerce for Marriott International.

Miller will be based at Edition’s offices in New York City.
