Bringing more than 20 years of hospitality industry experience to the position, Holly Zimmer recently joined White Lodging as the General Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott in Schaumburg, Illinois. "I'm excited to work for such a well-known company," Zimmer said. "I look forward to

While still in school at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee working toward her Bachelor of Arts degree, Zimmer worked as a desk clerk at one of the university's residence halls and was also a Front Desk Clerk at the Holiday Inn at the Milwaukee City Centre.
After graduation, she moved to Columbus, Ohio where she was a Front Desk Clerk at the Holiday Inn Columbus Airport.
While in Columbus, Zimmer attended The Ohio State University College
of Law, and she earned her Juris Doctor degree in 1994. Moving back
to Wisconsin, she worked as an associate attorney for one year before
returning to the hospitality industry.
Zimmer's first General Manager position was with the Baymont Inn &
Suites in Waukesha County, Wisconsin. During her six years in this
job, she distinguished herself by being named Manager of the Year,
being a member of the Manager's Advisory Council, and winning awards
for greatest increase in room revenue, lowest total bad debt, and
highest average accounting audit score.
Zimmer then joined First Hospitality Group based in Rosemont, Illinois
and again was recognized with numerous awards. These include receiving
the Highest Associate Satisfaction Award for three consecutive years,
the Inner Circle Award and the Service Leadership Award for four
consecutive years, and many other accolades. In her most recent
position with First Hospitality, Zimmer was the General Manager at the
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott located in Glenview, Illinois.
