Hotel Company, Ritz Carlton has announced that it plans to expand its hotel chain to 100 by 2016. This includes hotels all over the world and they plan to put new ones in many country capitals as well as emerging markets too.
They feel that the hotel market is increasing, the economy in the world is improving and so this is a time when they feel international growth is right. They will be moving in to Asia and the Middle East and are hoping to be recognised as the leading top-tier or luxury hotel brand through the whole world by 2016.
They have already opened three new hotels this year. They have the world's highest hotel in Hong King, plus The Ritz-Carlton in Toronto and Dubai. They will be opening more during the year including Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Singapore. In 2012 there will be even more, including hotels in Israel, China and California, as well as expanding in Dubai and opening two new residential projects in Montreal and Chicago. These residences are proving to be popular.
They are condominiums and estate homes which are managed in the same way as the hotels and are being bought both as primary residences and a second or third home for some people. There are more due to open over the next few years in Thailand, Mexico, Morocco as well as New York and Puerto Rico.
