Hospitality Career E-Mag: NEWS | Dillip Rajakarier has been promoted chief executive officer at Minor International Pcl (MINT) in Klongtoey, Bangkok, Thailand.

Minor Hotel Group has promoted Dillip Rajakarier from chief operating officer to chief executive officer.
In his new role, Rajakarier is tasked with growing the hotel group to 150 hotels within the next five years, and expanding the group’s home grown brands Anantara and Avani, in addition to making strategic acquisitions across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and the Indian Ocean. Rajakarier joined Minor Hotel Group as chief financial officer in March 2007. Since then, he has been instrumental in the expansion of the hotel portfolio, including the recent launch of the upscale Avani Hotels & Resorts brand.

He also spearheaded the acquisition of Oaks Hotel Group earlier this year, which has effectively doubled the Minor Hotel Group portfolio to 73 properties, in addition to providing entry into a new market segment and region. The group also announced the promotion of Ross Crowder to senior vice president project development.
