PizzaExpress chain of restaurants is set to be launched in India. Announcing the 50:50 joint venture between Gourmet Investments and PizzaExpress Holdings promoted by the UK's Gondola Group, Ramit Bharti Mittal, Director Gourmet Investments said that the first restaurant is expected to be launched next year.
According to a report in The Hindu Business Line, Gourmet Investments is promoted by Bharti Family Office. Gourmet Investments declined to share the amount of investment in the JV.
Harvey Smyth, CEO, Gondola Group said, “We are delighted to have partnered the Bharti Family Office to establish PizzaExpress in India. These are exciting times, and we look forward to bring the much-loved PizzaExpress brand to this fantastic market.”
