Cornell School of Hotel Administration (SHA) will host Cornell International Hospitality Summit (CIHS) at Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai on January 17, 2012. The summit will be co-presented by the school's Center for Hospitality Research (CHR). Industry leaders and academics will examine the future of the hospitality industry in India during the summit.
According to the company release, CIHS India will feature the ninth edition of the Dean's Leadership Series, a CEO panel of four of the top hospitality executives in India. Jon Denison, Associate Dean for External Affairs at SHA will moderate the panel, where Raymond Bickson, Managing Director and CEO, Indian Hotels Company Ltd; Patu Keswani, Chairman and Managing Director, Lemon Tree Hotels; Vivek Nair, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Hotel Leelaventure Ltd and PRS Oberoi, Chairman and CEO, East India Hotels Ltd will take part in the panel discussion. Other sessions, which will be held during the summit are, 'Achieving Excellence Via Operational and Human Capital Innovations,' which will be moderated by Rohit Verma, Professor of Services Operations Management and Executive Director, CHR and 'Revenue and Performance Enhancement in Emerging Hospitality Markets', which will be moderated by Chris Chan, Professor of Accounting and Dean, Cornell-Nanyang Institute for Hospitality Management.
