Responsible for the profitability of the hotel keeping in mind the customer service and revenue goals by directing the operation of the hotel
Sales
• Develop a network of
local travel agents and other sources which will help the company to generate business. • Get good references from existing clients and convert them . Marketing • To provide inputs to the marketing department about new and innovative methods’ to increase company visibility. • He should help the marketing dept with the details about marketing style which will work best at the local level. • To give every week feedback on rates offered, occupancy of the competition hotels • To identify and suggest rates through which company will be able to generate more sales. Operations • He will be responsible for all functions in a cost effective manner • He should ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the property to the highest standards • He will be responsible for keeping and maintaining inventory of the hotel and to ensure nothing is lost. • To ensure that all F&B and linen etc. Are kept properly and there are proper records of the same. • He will be responsible for all departments of hotel i.e. F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office etc and should be able to manage them in an effective manner. • He should ensure all the renewal of all the licenses, Insurance policies pertaining to the property & it’s Operation. • He should adhere to all legal & compliance issues with respect to property & its operation. • Hotel Manager should ensure that staff is properly dressed, trained, and knows table etiquette. • Fire fighting equipment to be checked for serviceability and mock practices should be conducted once in a month. • To Liaison with the nearest fire brigade station. • Ensure first aid box has all the requisite medicines, and to maintain liaison with the nearest doctors and ambulance suppliers. • To ensure the garden is kept well maintained with seasonal flowers and surrounding areas to be kept neat and clean. • To ensure safety of cash kept in hotel premises and while depositing in the bank. • Keep proper records of all guests staying in the resorts along with their permanent address and contact details. • Provide necessary assistance in arranging visits to all the nearby spots. • Ensure cleanliness, proper hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen and toilets. • Ensure upkeep of all documents to be maintained at each resort. Give a list of those documents. Human Resources • To hire people that are necessary to achieve hotel and Management Services goals • To ensure all the hotel staff is highly motivated and happy. • To ensure that the hotel staff is properly trained to perform their duties. • He should give regular feed-backs about performance and behavior of the hotel staff. Accounts • He should be computer literate and know accounting so as to take care of billing and other procedural requirements of the company. • He should ensure safety of funds. • He should ensure that the funds are not misappropriated. • He should submit funds and reports on a timely basis. Public Relations • He should act as the face of the company and should be ready to represent it at the local level. • He should seek opportunities to publicise the hotel through development by building a network within the community • He should ensure the hotel has the best possible image and should ensure all necessary steps to ensure that it does not gets hampered in any way. • He should act as a link between Management and owners and ensure all the policies and procedures directed management by them are followed. • To build and maintain good relations with local bodies and people of influence for ex- Sarpanch, police officer’s etc. Salary: As per Industry Norms and Experience Snr.
