NEWS | The Leading Hotels of the World conducts India Showcase 2012 in Mumbai

In a bid to help their members understand the Indian market, The Leading Hotels of the World conducted the India Showcase 2012 in Mumbai yesterday. Over 20 member hotels participated in the showcase, which will also be held in New Delhi. Sowmyaragavan TE, Director, India, The Leading Hotels of the World said, “The idea behind the showcase was to help our members understand the Indian market and what it has to offer. Similarly, we wanted to make the Indian travel trade aware of our members hotels which are among the finest in the world.” Pietro Giuseppe Rusco, Resident Manager, Il Palazzo stated, “It is very important for us to build relationships with the Indian travel trade and we plan to continue to visit the country in order to build on these relationships.

Philip Ho, Vice-President-Asia Pacific, The Leading Hotels of the World said, “The role of the Leading Hotels of the World is to get connoisseurs of fine hotels to visit each of our member hotels and we hope to achieve this through the showcase.”Speaking about the potential of the Indian market, Francois-Xavier Quere, Sales Manager, Le Bristol, Paris said, “The Indian market is a rapidly growing one and the opportunities are huge. We believe India will be ranked first in terms of visitor numbers to France in the next ten years. At the moment, we are targeting mainly Mumbai and Delhi, but we will also look to attract customers from Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune. In 2013, the General Manager of Le Bristol will visit India, which emphasises how much importance we put on the country as an emerging market for us.”
