In a bid to tap the South Indian market, luxury hospitality organisation, The Leading Hotels of the World, is planning to open its third India office in Bengaluru in the first half of 2012. The consortium already has offices in Mumbai and New Delhi.
Sowmyaragavan TE, Director, India, The Leading Hotels of the World said, “We are looking at long-term growth and investment in India and we do not want to miss out on any opportunities in South India. Therefore, we are looking at opening an office in Bengaluru sometime in the first half of the year.” Sowmyaragavan informed that the Indian office of The Leading Hotels of the World has recorded a growth of 102 per cent in business last year and while declining to name a figure, he stated that the company was looking forward to a positive growth in the Indian market in 2012 as well. “We are expecting an increase in revenue this year and are optimistic that we will see a high level of growth. We want to support the market in India and add value to it,” he said. The Leading Hotels of the World currently has nine members in India with the Taj Faluknama Palace, Hyderabad being the latest addition. Speaking about their plans for India, Sowmyaragavan added, “India is an important market for us and we are currently in talks with several iconic properties in the country, but the details remain confidential at this moment in time.”
