JS Hospitality Service, which owns New Delhi based restaurant chain, Pind Balluchi, has sold its 45% stake to Everstone Capital to raise $ 20mn. The company owns 30 Pind Balluchi restaurants, mostly in the National Capital Region, which serve north Indian cuisine.Dhanpal Jhaveri, Partner & CEO, Everstone Capital Advisors, told TOI, "With Pind Balluchi, we saw an opportunity to scale up a quick service restaurant model in north Indian cuisine. It has a casual dining business more catered towards the mid-market consumer.” He further added, “We have been active in the sector tracking the broad consumption theme.” The restaurant chain is led by JS Chadha of Vatika Grand Group. It previously won five consecutive Regional Tourism Awards for Excellence and two National Tourism Awards for Best Restaurant in India outside a 5-Star Hotel category in the first year of its anticipation.
