Les Clefs d’Or Great Britain recently hosted the 59th Union International des Concierges d’Hôtel’s (UICH) Congress in London. The Society of The Golden Keys brand or Clefs d’Or as it is better known represents unparalleled levels of service that guests can experience at world class hotels in 43 countries worldwide. The 59th UICH Congress brought about some 550 concierge members together.
The panel of experts included Robert Gaymer Jones, CEO, Sofitel Worldwide; Paul James, Vice President, Global Brand Management, Starwood Hotels & Resorts; Andrea Torrance, Vice President Rooms, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts; Stuart Johnson, General Manager, Brown’s Hotel London & Chairman, Master Innholders to name a few. The panel addressed various questions from the attendees. From the Indian section, there were ten concierge members who attended the event. They include Edwin Saldanha from The Oberoi Nariman Point, Mumbai who is the President, Les Clefs d’Or India; Shaunak Vengurlekar, Public Relations Officer, Les Clefs d’Or India and The Waterstones Hotel/Waterstones Club & Spa, Mumbai; Sri Kishen, President, Southern Region, Movenpick Hotels, Bengaluru; Delna Karbhari, Vice President Western Region, Trident, Mumbai among others.
