Hospitality industry veteran Larry van Ooyen will bring nearly 25 years of experience when he joins Jaya International Design (JID) as Executive Vice President. The appointment will reunite the hotel corporate leader with the celebrated interior designer Jaya Ibrahim, whose previous collaborations are among the region’s most inspired destination sites. Bruce M. Goldstein, a JID principal, believes van Ooyen’s vast hotel experience and affinity for Jaya’s work will provide an enormous boost for the dynamic, exclusive design group. “Larry is a true veteran and super talent. But most important to me is that he has worked closely with Jaya for more than a decade, and understands his style, likes and dislikes about as well as anyone. By joining our ranks I know he’ll help us take JID to new heights,” said Goldstein, who for 30 years has developed luxury hospitality and residential properties.
