The PURE room program cleans, sanitises and seals all surfaces in a room, while filtering the air with medical grade air cleaners produced by HealthWay, said a release. ITC Maurya, New Delhi, the company's flagship property in Delhi, installed 80 allergy friendly rooms while also equipping the heating ventilation and air conditioning systems with commercial air cleaning systems by HealthWay. These have proven to eliminate up to 100 per cent of all ultra fine particles known to cause illness, informed a company release. ITC has plans to add PURE rooms at several more hotels across India. With this partnership, ITC is continuing its corporate social responsibility efforts, said the release. PURE Global located in Pulaski, New York, operates in over 20 countries and has installed PURE rooms in hotels around the world. As per the release, before and after studies have been conducted on PURE rooms, and after being treated with the patented PURE program, rooms have been shown to have 90 per cent less airborne allergens and particles. Each room is updated every six months and monitored to ensure that it meets strict allergy guidelines for healthy spaces, with a re-certification process every two years.
