Tilaknagar Industries Ltd. (TI) unveiled its new super-premium Seven Islands Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky on April 24, 2012 at London's Mint Leaf restaurant. This was followed by its launch in Mumbai, Milan and Paris, subsequently.
The Seven Islands Vintage has been designed and created by UK-based Ryan50 Scotland Limited in association with Scotland-based BenRiach Distillery. Seven Islands Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been created and crafted for the connoisseur in each individual. It is golden in colour with notes of butterscotch, honey and vanilla, mingled with a hint of spices and traces of apples and pears. It is a spirit that combines Indian values and culture with the Scottish art of making whisky, informed a release. Amit Dahanukar, Chairman & Managing Director, TI, said, “As we launch the Seven Islands scotch in UK, we believe that our association with such industry experts will help the brand reach its full potential. It is an excellent fit to our work philosophy, given our common focus on creating high-quality premium spirits, and we look forward to working together to raise the visibility of our new brand.” He said, “Seven Islands Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a unique choice for the whisky aficionados. We’ve worked hard and paid tremendous attention to detail, to create a whisky that’s exceptional – from its taste, to its presentation. TI has always strives to accentuate its brand portfolio, and takes this opportunity to enhance its range, with this unique work of art, sure to be a favourite in any whisky connoisseur’s collection.” “Overall, the brand brings together a taste that reflects both, the quality and heritage and we are truly pleased to add this exciting brand to our portfolio,” he stated. Dahanukar informed that premiumisation has been central to our company’s growth strategy and this recent addition further endorses the company's focus. The super-premium scotch market offers promising growth prospects both in the domestic and international markets and hence TI perceives this as an opportunity to leverage its expertise and introduce this brand to the discerning consumers and looks forward to capitalise on the opportunities. This whisky addition to TI’s brand, reiterates TI’s commitment to tap opportunities in the international and Indian luxury market. The launch is aligned to TI’s concerted strategy to expand its geographic reach with a keen focus on premiumisation while fortifying its diversified brand portfolio, he believed.
