Zephyr India has launched the Mobile Key by Openways solution in India. The technology solution enables guests to access their rooms by using their cell phones, eliminating the need for keys or key cards. The service is currently being used by InterContinental Hotel Groups (IHG), Hilton Worldwide, Choice Hotels and Ascot Hotels across the globe.
According to Shajan Koshy, Director, Zephyr India, “Gen Y has very little interest in plastic cards, and business travellers prefer custom value-added information provided by a widget on their smartphone. Plastic is a passé.
