IDS NEXT, provider of ERP and total technology solutions for the hospitality and leisure industries, has announced a new partnership with Energex, manufacturer of occupancy based energy management solutions. The company claims that this partnership will make sophisticated energy management systems available to both upcoming and existing hotels, helping them reduce energy costs by as much as 30 to 50 per cent.
The Energy Management Systems directly interface with existing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems,
regulating the energy consumption at the property. According to the company, hoteliers can directly access data and analysis of the energy consumption though the Fortune NEXT Property Management System. Commenting on the partnership, Solomon James, Vice President, IDS Networks Group, a division of IDS NEXT, said "At IDS NEXT, we consult with our customers to identify methods of increasing revenue, reducing costs and enhancing guest delight through technology adoption. One constant feedback over the years has been the need for a smart energy management solution that finds the right balance between energy conservation and guest comfort. Our partnership with Energex is the result of our efforts to address this need." Speaking on how these tools will keep a check on energy consumption, Rami Belson, President and CEO of Energex, said "Our partnership with IDS NEXT enables hoteliers to install an integrated system that interfaces with the Property Management System, enabling them access to power consumption statistics on the go. In addition, the Energex building energy management system is easy to install. Since it directly integrates with existing HVAC systems, it eliminates the need to build a new network. The system can be installed in as little as 20 minutes per room. Also, the Energex occupancy sensors lets housekeeping staff know if a room is occupied, so they can work more efficiently and reduce guest interruptions." IDS Softwares Pvt. Ltd. has a presence in 40 countries across South Asia, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Africa. The company’s clients include a number of hotel chains including Sarovar Hotels & Resorts, ITC Fortune Group, Royal Orchid Hotels, Pride Hotels and Ramada Hotels.
