Job Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. Major Duties and Responsibilities 1. To institute and execute a sound financial policy,
financial management, accounting and the cost control systems including verification and internal auditing standard in the Resort. 2. To implement and evaluate the economical methods for conducting financial transaction of the Resort by means of attempting to make all the units of the Resort as profit centers. 3. To determine and report accurate and fair financial condition of the Resort. 4. To act as financial custodian, regulator and director. 5. To generate and provide financial information on timely manner as and when required. 6. Install and operate business budget system in the standard manner. 7. Set up cash credit and property accounting systems under generally accepted accounting and auditing principles and with Nepalese legal requirements. 8. Coordinate with the HODs and other executives in respect of financial matters, issues and obligations. 9. Perform other jobs/duties as required by the Company policy, the nature of the Resort and under the instructions/directives of the GM or Immediate Supervisor and other higher management.
