Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP), a global professional association for financial and technology personnel working in hotels, clubs and other hospitality-related businesses, recently launched its India Chapter at HFTP Global Event HITEC 2012 at Baltimore, USA. HFTP India Chapter, which has 20 members,
is headed by Prakash Shukla. The Executive Committee members for the India chapter have Rajesh Chopra as Vice President, Jimmy Shaw as Board Member, Ravish Jhala as Secretary and Vipil Gupta as Treasurer. The Executive Committee members of HFTP Global include Frank Wolfe as CEO, Lisa Funk as President, Raman P Rama as Vice President, Daniel Conti as Secretary and Jerry Trieber as Treasurer. “HFTP India chapter will bridge the gap between the professionals in India and other parts of the world by providing a platform of networking and educational resources from all parts of the world,” said Shukla. Adding to that, Jhala said, “This is a great achievement and support given by senior hospitality leaders to launch HFTP India chapter. This is a unique platform for financial and technology professional from Indian hospitality to come together and share knowledge and learn global trends.” Rama informed, “The objective of the chapter is to provide an interchange of information and ideas between members and also other related professional and trade associations; to provide leadership in the establishment and enhancement of hospitality accounting, financial management, and information processing practices and standards; to provide leadership in education and professional development, focusing on management skills as well as technical expertise; to further contribute and enhance such other functions as may properly come within the scope of this professional association.”
