wall coverings, window treatments, and bath amenities combined with technical necessities, such as wired and wireless internet connection, 37” HDTVs, laptop safes and mini-refrigerators, have been added. The hotel’s Concierge Lounge has also been significantly expanded and updated to provide the utmost comfort and convenience. Around 70,000 square feet flexible meeting space has been renovated during the course of this project. The 23,431-square-feet Grand Ballroom offers mahogany millwork, tone-on-tone wall coverings, bronze light fixtures and jewel-hued carpets. Three custom-designed chandeliers are adorned with 29,000 crystal pendants creating dramatic focal points. Digital sound systems and improved acoustics, as well as superior wireless and wired capabilities and fiber optic cabling, make the Grand Ballroom very attractive. The reconfigured 22,500-square-feet Back Bay Conference and Exhibit Hall can now be sub-divided into seven mid-sized meeting rooms, measuring 900 to 2,000 square feet. Three brand new mid-sized meeting rooms have been added to the first floor, and all pre-existing small and mid-sized meeting rooms have been renovated. These spaces feature contemporary décor, state-of-the-art sound systems, and wired and wireless internet access. The hotel’s abundant public areas, including lobbies, restaurants and lounges, have likewise been thoroughly transformed. On the hotel’s second level, a new Champions restaurant is the centerpiece, with its 12 x 24 foot HD screen, over 40 flat panel televisions, and a technologically-advanced sound system. The restaurant’s open, circular design, along with its all-American grill menu, 36 beers on tap, and hand-crafted cocktails, makes Champions a popular dining and entertainment spot for locals and hotel guests alike. The second floor also features an expanded Starbucks coffee bar, a new Connexion Lounge, a relocated business centre, and a redesigned Atrium Shop.
