InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) boutique hotel brand Hotel Indigo is set to grow its presence in Germany, with the signing of Hotel Indigo Düsseldorf-Victoriaplatz following two successful openings in Berlin earlier this year. The property,
slated to open in 2013 will operate under a franchise agreement with LFPI Hotels Management Germany GmbH. The 126-room hotel is a conversion from the Lindner Rhein Residence into a Hotel Indigo hotel. René Schappner, Development Director for Germany, IHG, said, "Dusseldorf does not have many boutique hotels, so it is a great opportunity to introduce Hotel Indigo. Each hotel is uniquely designed to reflect the community, character and history of its surrounding area. Hotel Indigo Düsseldorf-Victoriaplatz’s design will be inspired by the numerous fashion stores and showrooms around Dusseldorf’s Fashion House and the Kaiserswerther Strasse." Every Hotel Indigo features a high quality bar and restaurant that is open to both guests and locals. All Hotel Indigo properties in Europe offer free wi-fi throughout the hotel as a brand standard, plus 24 hour room service and access to a gym.
