Dr Jyotsna Suri, Chairperson and Managing Director, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group has been conferred the ‘Hall of Fame’ award by Prithviraj Chavan, Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra, at the 28th Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) Convention 2012.
The ‘Hall of Fame’ award by IATO is given annually to the most prominent personalities who have contributed to the growth of tourism in India. This award is recognition to Dr Suri’s exemplary contribution to the hospitality and tourism industry.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Suri, said “I am honoured to receive the ‘Hall of Fame’ award and thank IATO for recognising my efforts to develop tourism in country. We will continue to pursue the commitment of developing destinations & not just hotels."
IATO convention is one of the most important events on the Indian travel calendar. It attracts delegates not only directly involved in handling travellers, but also brings in a strong participation from state and central governments.
