Emirates Palace, the luxury Abu Dhabi hotel that ranks among the world's most opulent, has announced the appointment of a new manager.
Alexander Schneider was previously general manager at the Park Plaza in Bangalore and at the Casa Camper in Berlin, a statement said.
Schneider said he would "look to build on the Palace's internationally-renowned service and hospitality,
striving to set new standards of excellence".
The statement said Schneider's expertise included the management of numerous new openings and leading teams of up to 350 employees.
It added that under his leadership, a number of properties have exceeded projected revenues, achieved qualification in the Michelin Guide and secured high-profile awards.
