Mr. Federer has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry in senior management positions across North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia. His rich and diverse experience, including more than 10 years of working with Russian and CIS clientele, makes him a knowledgeable expert in the Russian hospitality market.
Mr. Federer will succeed Sandeep Walia in this position. A Canadian national, Mr. Federer previously worked as the General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai and prior to that The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain which he opened to widespread acclaim in late 2009, helping to position it as one of the leading desert resorts in the USA.
He joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. in 2001 as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Montreal. Mr. Federer later moved on to hold General Manager positions for The Ritz-Carlton hotels in Turkey, Singapore and Ireland. He also held several senior regional positions in a number of luxury and boutique hotels in North America.
