NEWS | Hyatt to manage Tysons Corner Center hotel

An affiliate of Hyatt Hotels Corporation will manage the hotel at Tysons Corner Center in McLean, Virginia. The 17-floor, 300-room hotel is part of a mixed-used development that also includes retail, residential and office. Hyatt plans to rebrand the hotel under the Hyatt Regency in 2014.
Since 2005, Santa Monica, California-based Macerich has co-owned the centre with the Alaska Permanent Fund Corp., which has invested in the centre since 1985, according to a report by Chicago Business Journal. An expansion of the hotel will include an elevated outdoor plaza, conference centre, restaurant, bar and lounge, business centre and meeting and events space.
